"I said not a chance in hell. I said Brad, I love you. I want to see you do it.
You’re out of your marbles. It’s not going to happen. There’s not enough time. "

-JESSE ITZLER, Owner of the Atlanta Hawks, Founder of Marquis Jets

Most people would call me crazy to climb over 58,000 feet in 34 hours, and they might be right.
"People who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." ~ Steve Jobs
To be honest, I barely finished the climb in time. With 8 hours remaining, I had 10 laps left.  Each lap was taking me an hour... The math wasn't in my favor.  It was the support of a few key people that caused me to push harder than I thought was possible... and shave THIRTY PERCENT off my time for the next EIGHT HOURS.
That's what is all about.
Showing people of all ages what WE are capable of.

As a teenager, to call me a "troubled youth" would be an understatement.  If it wasn't for a few key experiences in my life - and a few key people who helped me really push the limits of what I was capable of, I'd be in an entirely different place right now.

That's why I'm so passionate about Explore Austin.  The organization gives underprivileged kids a chance to experience things they never otherwise would. We can all learn so much about what we are truly capable of by pushing ourselves further than we ever thought possible - and sometimes that's just a small step for a teenager.

The combination of unique, challenging experiences, emotional engagement, good friends to support you and mentors to guide you and push you ~ can change your life forever.

Please help me and Explore Austin by >> donating<< to the cause.
EVERY DOLLAR helps!

Thank you so much!

Help Us Teach Kids What's Possible.
ExploreAustin is an amazing organization that helps mold the youth of Austin into amazing, well rounded, dynamic, powerful adults by teaching them life skills through adventure.

Explore takes groups of underprivileged youth on adventures trips to teach them life skills. They do this in groups of 15 kids, with 3 mentors. That groups stays together from age 12 until 18.

Setting a goal like this is obviously about pushing yourself physically... But it goes so far beyond that.
"It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves" – Sir Edmund Hillary

How you do one thing is how you do everything.

When you set any major goal, you have to prioritize at a high level.
It forces you to push yourself when you don't want to.
It teaches you what you're really capable of - and that has ripples in ALL areas of life.

The benefit of a physical challenge is that it sparks emotional engagement.
The lessons you learn and the impact they can have when you're in a peak emotional state are unparalleled.

See the action here...
"Mad respect. He told me his goal 5 minutes into the first lap, confidently staring roughly 48 hours of straight climbing in the face!!! Well done."

-COLIN O'BRADY, 2-time world record holder: Explorers Grand Slam & Seven Summits speed records

What Are You Capable Of?
How old should you be when you learn that?
When people believe that they’re truly capable of anything, their lives change forever.
Explore Austin teaches 12-18 year olds how to take charge of life through leadership adventure trips.

Sometimes you need to see something to believe it’s possible.

FAQ
Can Anyone Sign Up?
While money isn't the best qualifier, I want to ensure this group is full of high performers. These trips are full of founders and CEOs of 8 figure companies who are interested in taking it to the next level. From there, we weigh heavily on character; because nobody wants to sit next to an arrogant asshole.
What Should I Bring?
Clothes (Athletic as well as whatever makes you feel awesome) & Toiletries (if you brush your teeth and what not).
The rest is on us.
I Have More Questions
That makes sense.  It also means that you likely haven't applied to be a part of the experience.
